Shiro or white Miso is made from soybeans and rice. It’s fermented for no longer than two months. Shiro (means “white” in Japanese) is light in color and sweet to mildly salty. It’s very versatile, so you can get creative with it, but also enjoy it by itself. Our Shiro Miso Soup is enriched with Wakame Seaweed, spring onions and Yaki-fu. Wakame Seaweed is a great source of Iodine, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Yaki-fu is Japanese dry baked wheat. It adds texture and carbohydrates to the soup.
